I support adults and young people from Addlestone who may feel stuck in repeating patterns or find themselves wondering why changing something can feel so difficult.
You may know that something isn't working for you anymore, but still find yourself going back to the same behaviours, relationships or ways of coping. This can leave you feeling frustrated with yourself and thinking, “Why do I keep doing this?”
Sometimes our patterns begin to make more sense when we understand the experiences that have shaped us. Ways of coping that developed during difficult times may have helped us then, but can continue into adulthood even when they're no longer helping.
Counselling gives you a space to explore these patterns without judgement. Rather than focusing only on what you want to stop, we can look at what's underneath, what the behaviour may be doing for you and what you might need instead.
The aim is to help you understand yourself with less self-criticism, recognise what you would like to change and begin finding different ways of coping.
I offer counselling for adults and young people face to face, online and by telephone, alongside group counselling. I also support clients from Chertsey, Weybridge, and Hersham.
