Counselling in Hersham

I support adults and young people from Hersham who may feel overwhelmed, struggle with how they see themselves or find that they're constantly questioning whether they're good enough.

You may be much harder on yourself than you would ever be on someone else. Perhaps you compare yourself to others, blame yourself when things go wrong or find it difficult to recognise your own needs and worth.

The way we feel about ourselves doesn't develop in isolation. Experiences and relationships from earlier in our lives can influence the beliefs we carry about ourselves into adulthood and the ways we learn to cope when difficult feelings come up.

Sometimes this can lead us to seek comfort or escape through alcohol, drugs, food, relationships or other behaviours. Rather than judging how you've learned to cope, counselling can help you understand what may be underneath it.

Together, we can explore where some of these feelings and patterns may have come from, begin to understand yourself with less self-criticism and look at what you would like to feel different.

I offer counselling for adults and young people face to face, online and by telephone, alongside group counselling.
I also support clients from Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge, and Addlestone.
