Counselling in Stanwell I offer counselling for adults and young people who may be struggling with anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, lacking confidence in themselves or finding it difficult to understand why they feel the way they do.
Sometimes the way we see ourselves has been shaped by experiences from much earlier in our lives. You may find yourself being very hard on yourself, questioning whether you're good enough or feeling that other people's needs and feelings matter more than your own.
Over time, these feelings can affect relationships, the choices we make and the ways we cope when things become difficult. You might find yourself turning to alcohol, drugs, food or other behaviours for comfort or relief, or simply feel stuck in patterns you don't know how to change.
Counselling gives you a space to explore these experiences without judgement. Together, we can begin to understand where some of these feelings and patterns may have come from and what may be underneath the ways you're coping today.
The aim is to help you understand yourself with greater compassion, recognise your own needs and begin to make changes that feel right for you.
I offer face-to-face counselling, as well as online and telephone counselling, alongside group counselling.
