I support adults and young people from Feltham who may feel overwhelmed, stuck or find that the ways they've always used to cope aren't helping in the way they once did.
Sometimes we develop ways of getting through difficult feelings or experiences without really thinking about why. They may help for a while, but over time you might find yourself relying on the same behaviours even when they're beginning to cause difficulties in your life.
This might involve alcohol, drugs, food, relationships or other ways of finding comfort, escape or relief. You may find yourself thinking, “I know this isn't helping me, so why do I keep doing it?”
Counselling isn't about judging the ways you've learned to cope. Together, we can explore what's underneath, understand how earlier experiences may be influencing you today and begin to make sense of why certain patterns can be so difficult to change.
The aim is to help you understand yourself with less judgement, recognise what you need and explore different ways of coping that feel right for you.
I offer counselling for adults and young people face to face, online and by telephone, alongside group counselling. I also welcome clients from Bedfont, Hanworth, and Ashford.
