Group Counselling
Sometimes it can feel like you're the only person struggling with what you're going through. Group counselling can help you realise that you're not alone.

There can be something powerful about hearing someone else put into words something you've felt yourself.

How Group Counselling can help.

Group counselling gives you the opportunity to learn more about yourself, recognise patterns and hear different perspectives. You can receive support from others while also discovering that your own experiences can help someone else feel understood.

Being part of a group can help with:

Feeling isolated or alone

Anxiety and low mood

Difficult past experiences and trauma

Addiction and unhealthy coping patterns

Relationships and difficulties trusting others

Low self-esteem and confidence

Understanding emotions and patterns of behaviour

Building healthier ways of relating to yourself and others

You don't have to share everything, and you won't be put under pressure to speak before you feel comfortable.

What can I expect?

Evoak groups are kept small, with a maximum of 12 people, helping the group feel personal and giving everyone space to be heard.

The group is built around respect, confidentiality and creating a space where people can be themselves without judgement.

Before joining, we'll have an individual conversation to talk about what you're looking for, what you hope to get from the group and whether it feels like the right support for you.

Your first group session is free, so you can experience what being part of the group feels like before deciding whether you would like to continue.

You don't need to have everything figured out before joining. Sometimes simply being with people who understand can be a good place to start.
